# Compare travel options from live websites

Build a travel shortlist with comparable prices, baggage rules, cancellation terms, source links, and the time each offer was checked.

Canonical page: https://beeuni.ai/blog/compare-travel-options-with-ai

The cheapest fare in a search result may exclude the bag you need or arrive after the last train. Give an agent the constraints that make a trip workable, then ask it to compare offers on the same basis.

## Write the constraints before opening tabs

Start with dates, departure points, destination, number of travelers, and a budget in one currency. Add the details that can change the decision: checked luggage, an arrival deadline, a maximum layover, or the ability to cancel. State which conditions are firm and which can move.

For example, you might accept either of two nearby departure airports but need to arrive before 8 p.m. Exclude later arrivals from the main shortlist, even if they are cheaper.

```
Compare travel options for the dates and route I provide.
Open airline and booking websites to check the available fares.
Include one checked bag and report the full displayed price in EUR.
Check official train or bus timetables from each arrival airport to my destination.
Show local dates, arrival times, transfer costs, and the last available service.
Save a comparison sheet with source links and the time each offer was checked.
Mark missing fees or inaccessible pages as unverified.
Do not book, pay, or submit personal information.
```

## Compare the full cost and journey

Beeuni can use its browser to open the offers, read the fare conditions, and check transport timetables on another site. Ask it to put the findings in a comparison sheet with a source link for each row. If a fee or condition is missing, leave it marked as unknown.

| Decision | Compare | Verify on the source page |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Total cost | Fare, bag, required fees, and currency | Whether the displayed total includes each item |
| Arrival | Local date, time, and airport | Overnight travel and onward transport availability |
| Travel time | Flight time, layovers, and transfers | Airport changes and separate-ticket connections |
| Flexibility | Change and cancellation conditions | Fare-specific fees and refund restrictions |
| Confidence | Source link and time checked | Unavailable details, blocked pages, or stale results |

Browser access does not guarantee every price can be verified. A booking site may require sign-in, reject automated access, or reveal a fee only later. Ask the agent to name the missing detail and leave that cell unresolved. An inaccessible offer can remain a lead for you to check manually.

## A cheaper flight can mean a more expensive trip

Suppose one flight lands at the main airport at 6 p.m. Another lands at a more distant airport at 11:30 p.m. The second fare is lower, but the train into town may have stopped running by the time you leave the terminal. A taxi or an airport hotel could change the comparison.

Check trains and buses for your arrival date, allowing time to collect bags and leave the airport. Keep confirmed transport costs separate from estimates. If the last train cannot be verified, the shortlist should show that gap. A scheduled arrival before midnight can also mean reaching the hotel on the following calendar day.

You may still choose the late flight. Perhaps someone can collect you, or your hotel is near that airport. Tell the agent and have it update the shortlist. Include the parts between the airport and where you need to be, rather than ranking flights by fare alone.

## A connection can change the decision before price does

Now add a third option to this fictional trip: two flights bought separately, with a short connection at an intermediate airport. It appears to arrive earlier and cost less than the direct flight. On the comparison page, the two legs look like a single journey. At the airport, you may have to collect a bag, enter the country, check in again, and pass through security before the second airline closes its gate.

Ask the agent to establish whether the itinerary is sold as one ticket or separate tickets. Then compare the connection against the work required between flights. A two-hour gap has a different meaning when you remain airside than when you must change terminals with checked luggage. If the ticket arrangement is unclear, keep it flagged in the comparison.

Would you still buy this option if the first flight arrived an hour late? You may accept the risk for a flexible weekend, but reject it when you must attend a morning appointment. The agent can explain that tradeoff. It should not invent a probability of making the connection or promise protection the fare does not provide.

For the late direct flight, suppose you are waiting for a reply about an airport pickup. If your email is connected, ask Beeuni to check the relevant thread for that reply. Until someone confirms, keep two provisional conclusions: the late flight is cheapest with the pickup; the early flight is preferable if you must arrange paid transport yourself.

## Choose from the shortlist

Request two recommendations with reasons: the lowest total cost that meets your requirements, and the option with the easiest journey. This keeps a small price difference from hiding a long connection or an inconvenient arrival. If the same option wins both, the explanation should say why.

Before buying, open the source and confirm the dates, passenger details, baggage, total price, and cancellation conditions. Check the onward journey again if the flight times changed. Availability and prices can change between research and checkout.
