# Artifacts

Share documents and pages, review changes, and send feedback to an agent.

Canonical page: https://beeuni.ai/docs/artifacts

Artifacts share a document or a web page from Drive. Each Artifact has a link, sharing settings and version history. Open **Artifacts** in the project sidebar to create a document or browse shared work.

## Documents and pages

- A document is a folder containing `index.md`. Edit it in the app; it saves 2 seconds after you stop typing. **History** lists earlier saves, and **Restore** writes one back as a new version.
- A page is a folder containing `index.html` and its assets. Its scripts run in an isolated preview and cannot access your Beeuni account.
- **Ask AI** opens a chat beside the Artifact. The agent can edit the files while you review them.

Artifacts are in beta and enabled by default. Choose **Private**, **Project** or **Public** when sharing. A private Artifact is visible only to its creator and the people granted access. Editing also requires write access to its Drive folder. **Stop sharing** removes its links and comments; the files remain in Drive.

## Comments and live viewers

Enable **Artifact comments** in **Project admin → Feature flags**. Comments are experimental and off by default.

Select a passage of up to 500 characters, then choose **Comment**. On a page, you can also pin a comment to an element or draw feedback with a screenshot. The comments panel lists open and resolved threads. Artifact cards show the number of open threads.

Mention an agent with `@` to send feedback. Replies stay in the same thread. **Send open threads to** sends up to 100 undelivered threads together. A thread shows whether feedback was sent, needs a person, or failed to deliver. Comments between people do not start an agent turn.

The viewer list shows people and agents currently reading or editing. Live updates refresh comments and activity across open tabs. Comments continue refreshing while the page is visible, even if the live connection is unavailable.

## Edit a document together

With **Artifact comments** enabled, people with write access can edit the same document together. Readers see the text change live. Colored carets and selections show where people work. Open the avatars menu and choose **Hide my cursor** to hide your position while keeping your avatar visible.

The document saves 2 seconds after the last change as a new file version. Agent file changes merge with edits in the document. If both change the same words, both versions of that paragraph remain. **Undo** does not undo an agent's change.

The editor uses the existing autosave mode for documents over 1 MiB, documents with mixed line endings, and Markdown it cannot preserve. A note explains why. If another writer saves first, autosave pauses and offers **Reload latest version** or **Keep mine**.

## CLI

```bash
beeuni artifacts publish report.md --visibility project
beeuni artifacts comments <artifact-id> --json
beeuni artifacts comment <artifact-id> "Check this figure" --quote "Revenue"
beeuni artifacts reply <thread-id> "Updated the source."
beeuni artifacts resolve <thread-id>
beeuni artifacts activity <artifact-id>
```

`publish --id <artifact-id> --base-version <version>` saves an update and refuses it if someone has already saved a newer version. `focus <artifact-id> --status editing` is available to agent sessions and updates their live presence. Use `--status idle` to remove that presence.

Run `beeuni artifacts --help` for the complete command list. See [SDK reference](/docs/sdk/reference#artifacts) for API access.
