Telegram
Connect a Telegram bot to a project and choose who can send it tasks.
A Telegram connection lets you send tasks to a project’s agent from a chat with your bot. Replies return to that chat, and you can open the session in Beeuni to see its full history.
Connect your bot
- Open @BotFather in Telegram and use
/newbotto create a bot. Copy its bot token. - Open your project’s Channels page and find Telegram. Enter the token and connect the bot.
- Open the bot in Telegram and send
/start. If your account is not allowed yet, the reply shows your numeric Telegram user ID. - Add that ID to the allowed users in Beeuni and save. Send a task to the bot.
An empty allowed-users list blocks everyone. Connecting a bot or changing that list requires permission to manage the project’s connectors. Beeuni stores the token server-side; it is not included in the installation response or passed to the agent.
Sessions and access
The first task in a chat starts a session. Later messages continue it. Each forum topic has its own session. Send /new to make the next message start a fresh session; the previous history stays in Beeuni.
Allowed Telegram users can start project-visible sessions under the project’s automation identity. This is not a separate Beeuni sign-in for each sender. Only allow people who should be able to run tasks with the project’s shared access.
To stop receiving tasks through this bot, disconnect it on the Channels page.
SDK
The SDK exposes getTelegramInstallation, connectTelegram, setTelegramAllowedUsers, and disconnectTelegram. Use these with your project’s ID. See SDK authentication for access-token setup.
