Notifications

Get updates when a session or automation needs your attention.

Notifications tell you when a turn finishes or fails, an agent needs an answer or permission, a session is shared with you, or an automation fails or recovers.

Turn notifications on

Notifications are a per-project feature flag, notification_center, off by default. Enable it in Settings → Feature flags.

Outside a linked project, add --project <id>.

Inbox and delivery

The bell lists your notifications and unread count. Open a notification to go to its session or automation and mark it read. Mark all as read clears the count. Opening a session also marks its notifications read.

  • Browser: turn on Enable notifications under Settings → Notifications, then allow notifications in the browser. This setting applies to that browser.
  • Desktop: notifications are checked while the app window is open, including when minimized. A closed window receives no desktop notifications.
  • Mobile: push notifications follow your notification preferences and that phone’s settings.
  • Email: failure alerts are sent immediately. Unread turn errors, questions and shared sessions can join a digest after 15 minutes, at most once an hour. Permission requests are never emailed.

A session open in a browser tab with notifications enabled handles its own alerts and suppresses duplicate mobile and browser push notifications. Sessions started in Slack, Teams or email reply in that conversation; additional notifications depend on the event.

Choose what you receive

Open Settings → Notifications to choose Push and Email for each notification type. These preferences follow your account across devices. The bell still lists notifications even when delivery switches are off.

Mute a session

Open the session menu and choose Mute notifications to stop notifications from that session. Sending another message does not unmute it. Choose Unmute notifications to receive them again.

Access and privacy

You receive notifications only for sessions or automations you can access. Losing access removes them from your inbox and digests. Leaving an account removes your notifications in that account. Notifications are deleted after 90 days.

The SDK supports the inbox, preferences and session watch controls. See the SDK reference.
